- You need 1 of Carrot.
- Prepare 100 ml of Water.
- It's 2 tbsp of Sugar.
- It's 1/2 tsp of Salt.
- You need 5 grams of Butter.

- Peel the carrot, and slice about 1 cm thick. (You're supposed to shave off the sharp edges, but I omit this step)..
- Put the water, sugar and salt in a pan. Add the carrot slices and simmer..
- Simmer until the liquid has reduced and the carrot is shiny. (Simmer until there's still a little liquid in the pan. If you let it boil for too long, it may burn!).
- Drain well. Discard the cooking water..
- Put the carrots back in the pan, add butter and sauté..
- You could pack these in your bento as well!.
