  5. Prepare 65 gm of Grated cheddar cheese.
  6. It's 2 of Eggs, beaten.

  8. Prepare as per needed of Flour, Cheddar cheese, Curry powder, Butter, Egg.
  9. Prepare of Snacks, Savour, Baking.

Cheese Straws step by step

  1. Sift the flour, salt and garam masala powder into a bowl..
  2. Add the butter and rub in until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs..
  3. Add the cheese and one egg and mix to form a dough. Wrap the dough in clingfilm and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes..
  4. Lightly grease two baking sheets with butter..
  5. On a floured work surface, roll out the dough to a 5 mm. (¼ inch) thick and 15 x 17 cm. (6 x 6.7 inch) rectangle..
  6. Cut into 15 x 1 cm. (6 x ½ inch) strips. Twist the strips slightly along it's length and place on the prepared baking sheets..
  7. Brush the straws with the remaining egg and sprinkle half with poppy seeds and half with cumin seeds..
  8. Bake in a preheated oven, 200ºC / 400ºF, for 10 – 15 minutes, or until golden..
  9. Transfer to wire racks to cool..
